BARBARESCO DOCG - THE GENERAL'S WINES - Dogliani

The second denomination obtained from the vinification of the Nebbiolo variety, this wine comes from vineyards located in the municipalities of Neive and Treiso. It has a ruby ​​red color with garnet highlights, due to aging in large oak barrels. On the nose, it features aromas of small red fruits with a distinct spicy note reminiscent of black pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced with a tannic finish that gives it excellent persistence on the palate.

AGING

Barbaresco ages for 26 months, of which at least 9 in large French oak barrels, followed by at least 6 months in the bottle.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

Ruby red in color with garnet highlights, the bouquet is spicy, intense, and persistent. On the palate, it is dry, full-bodied, robust, austere, velvety, and harmonious.

COMBINATIONS

It pairs well with rich first courses based on white truffle and porcini mushrooms.
